Programs / Services

Detox length of stay and severity will depend on many factors. While drugs and alcohol can leave the body in a couple days, the psychological and physical symptoms often require more time. Our required minimum length of stay is 5 days, with some people staying for up to 2 weeks. On average, clients can expect to be at our executive medically assisted detox facility for between 5-10 days. Each individual is different and will be assessed multiple times each day to determine the appropriate length of stay.

Animal Assisted Healing – Animals as Healers

Animal-assisted healing can reduce pain and anxiety in people with a range of health problems, even more so with those in detox.

Animal therapy has gained fans in health care and beyond because research and positive experience supports it.

At Heartwood House we use various animals to help people recover from or better cope with health problems and addiction while giving love and kind care to animals who have been abused or abandoned. Our clients report gaining so much more from the animals than they give. Our clients respond better to treatment and healing if they choose to spend time with our animals and help them adjust to being safe and well cared for as rescue animals often have some of the same problems and fears as humans.

Aftercare Options

Each client will meet with our program director to be informed of all available aftercare options before discharge. These include, but are not limited to, residential treatment, sober living environments, intensive outpatient services, doctors/therapists specializing in addiction, sober coaching, sober companions, 12-step based, as well as other recovery meetings.

IV Hydration Therapy

Heartwood is pleased to partner with Restore IV to offer IV Hydration Therapy. Hydration Therapy is ideal for those detoxing from drugs and alcohol, and who wish to rid their bodies of toxins more efficiently. We are able to utilize the power of IV’s to deliver a powerful combination of fluids that are essential to body health and wellness. IV drip therapy is an effective way to deliver nutrients, vitamins, and medication to the body because this technique bypasses the digestive system. Supplements are administered directly into the bloodstream, making nutrients available for immediate use.

IV drip therapy improves overall wellness by providing 100% of the vitamins and nutrients your body needs, and studies have shown it plays a significant role to:

  • Improve immune health
  • Boost energy levels
  • Improve symptoms of depression
  • Improve anxiety
  • Improve mental clarity and cognitive function
  • Reduce the symptoms of migraines
  • Improves skin, joint, and muscle health

IV Hydration Therapy will leave you feeling refreshed and healthy. Remaining hydrated helps the detox process by flushing the toxins through the liver and out of the body. Proper hydration can also reduce symptoms of withdrawal and cravings, and help the body to return to homeostasis.

All IV therapy is done by licensed RN’s and is contracted through a third-party vendor. Heartwood House nursing staff does not provide IV therapy.

We work with a variety of PPO Insurance Plans.

We are happy to look into your insurance benefits and tell you what is covered at our detox-only level of care. Please contact our admissions line to see if your PPO is compatible with our facility.
