Christopher Lewis brings over 30 years of dedicated service in the substance use disorder field, including 14 years with the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs (ADP) and the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). As the Chief of Licensing and Certification for the last four years of his tenure, he played a pivotal role in developing regulations, policies, and application processes that shaped the current landscape of substance abuse treatment licensing and certification. His experience spans over 1,000 onsite visits, Drug Medi-Cal targeted reviews, and the creation of key regulatory documents still in use today.
